I have continued to accept any and every adventure that comes my way, an extremely valuable lesson I learned from my travels this summer. I made the move back to my hometown when it became apparent that was the direction my life was taking me. I took a job as a bookkeeper, a barista, and a personal assistant. I have traveled to several amazing and exciting places, not to mention rediscovered many of my old favorites in the areas that I consider to be my backyard. It is amazing what going back to your roots can do for self discovery.
I have taken to cooking and baking on a whole new level. It is absolutely something that makes me one happy girl. I have become a frequent visitor of tastespotting.com and have gotten so many inspirations for new recipe ideas. For a women who only six short years ago asked my mom as I prepared to embark on my collegiate career, "who is going to cut the freaking chicken?", I am proud to say that I am now quite the chef!
Something else that I have realized in the past few months, I miss writing as a form of self expression in a terrible way. So here is my newest adventure, to begin to blog again about pursuing my passions: from the things that brighten my daily life, to my travels, to my attempts (and hopefully successes) with new recipes, to gaining a deeper understanding of the women I've become.
So let the adventures begin!
